Walnutport VFW holds egg hunt

Published March 27. 2013 05:03PM

The Ladies'Auxiliary to R.W. Fritzinger VFW Post 7215 held its annual East Egg Hunt on March 16. There were 34 kids ages 0-10.

Karen Bandzi, president of the auxiliary, said since the weather was bad, the event had to be held indoors with insufficient room to hide the eggs. Each child received a basket of candy and a bag with four eggs.

The kids were disappointed that the Easter Bunny did not visit, but Bandzi explained that he had come early to see if the neighboring yards were dry enough to hide the eggs. Since the yards were too wet, he left early.
