Monroe man facing several charges

A Monroe County man is facing several charges following an incident that occurred on May 28 about 6:37 p.m.

Pocono Mountain Regional police went to 163 Selig Road, in Pocono Lake, to serve a protection from abuse (PFA) order.

On scene officers encountered Brian Morrison, 42, of Pocono Lake, who was to be removed from the residence per the PFA order. Morrison refused to obey the court order and was placed under arrest.

Morrison began to resist officers and was eventually removed from the residence where he continued to fight with police. Police had to use a Taser to gain control of him.

Morrison was taken into custody and charged with PFA violation, defiant trespass, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, and escape. He was lodged in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
