Kidder recycling

Kidder Township has announced that it will offer free recycling at the township building.

Accepted materials include newspapers and newspaper inserts; magazines and catalogs; junk mail and envelopes; cardboard and office paper; phone books; cereal boxes; brown paper bags; aluminum, steel and tin cans; glass bottles and jars; and plastics #1 through #7.Items not accepted include garbage; food-tainted items (used paper plates, etc.); batteries; paper towels or paper napkins; Styrofoam; aerosol or paint cans; propane or helium tanks; plastic toys; and scrap metal.For more information contact Chrissy Lindsey, township clerk, at (570) 722-0107 weekdays between 8 a.m and 4 p.m.
