Nesquehoning arrest reported

A Nesquehoning resident is facing charges following an incident in the borough on Oct. 23 about 4:05 a.m.

Officer Timothy Wuttke was dispatched to the area of the Turkey Hill on Catawissa St. (SR209), to a report of two males fighting. Upon arrival Wukke found Mike Belson, 11 N. School St., fighting with his brother and was highly intoxicated. Belson was irate and screaming and cursing in the street and still attempting to fight with his brother, police said. He was warned several times to cease his behavior, police added.Belson was placed under arrest and charged with three counts of persistent disorderly conduct and one count each of simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.He was arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford, and committed to the county prison in lieu of $3,000 straight bail.
