Wreckers, Tigers post golf wins

Weatherly and Northwestern both posted wins on the golf course Thursday.

The Wreckers defeated Williams Valley, while the Tigers topped Bangor and Saucon Valley.


Northwestern-Bangor-Saucon Valley

Northwestern earned a victory asit defeated Bangor and Saucon Valley. Northwestern shot 420 collectively, as Bangor shot 472, and Saucon Valley 474.

Cole Miller led the way for the Tigers, earning medalist honors with a 66 for the second day in a row. Nick Vecelli (80) and Zack Caruso (83) finished in the 80's to aid Northwestern's two wins.

The Blue Bombers wound up on the short end of a tri-match against Wilson and Salisbury at the Club at Morgan Hill.

Wilson's Clayton Hagenbuch was medalist for the day firing a four-over par 75. Palmerton's Charlie Debski had the best round for his team with a 93.

Blue Mountain had four golfers finish under 80 to post a 308-394 win over Jim Thorpe.

Lyle Luckenbill led the Eagles with a 74 while teammate Ryan Woods was two strokes back with a 76.

The Olympians' were paced by Brett Luicana's 87.

Lehighton-ES North-Stroudsburg

Stroudsburg earned wins over both Lehighton and East Stroudsburg North in Mountain Valley Conference action. The Mounties finished at 453, Lehighton 592, and East Stroudsburg North 727.

Cormac Salmon of Stroudsburg took medalist honors with a 72. The Indians' low man was Jordan Knappenberger, who ended his round with an 86.
