Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against a Pine Grove man who police said wrecked his vehicle on April 18 at 6:50 p.m.

Pollice said they observed Daniel Gonzalez, 45, driving a 1981 Datsun southbound on Rt. 183 in Wayne Township. Police said the vehicle was heavily damaged, having a missing headlight and a smashed windshield.Police said after stopping the driver, he exhibited signs of being intoxicated. A further investigation showed he had just wrecked the vehicle into an embankment and had fled the scene until being stopped for the traffic stop.
