First donation to Tamaqua holiday lights

Vicki and Robert Feliciano, left, of RF Family Hair Center, West Broad Street, Tamaqua, present the season's first holiday lighting donation to Linda Yulanavage, executive director, Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) on Tuesday morning. The TACC Holiday Lighting campaign kicked off this week and is an appeal to individuals and businesses to help defray the expense of operating the downtown Christmas lights. In Tamaqua, the holiday decorations are owned by the Chamber, and the electricity to power the lighting display, costing $1,500 to $2,000 per season, is sponsored by residents and businesses. Donations can be directed to the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce.
