Break-ins, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating two burglaries and two theft incidents.

The first break-in was reported by Monica Lynn Walck, 24, of 456A Forge St., Bowmanstown, Carbon County. Her residence was entered through an unlocked door. Once inside the criminals went to a bedroom and removed prescription medication. The incident occurred sometime between 6:35 and 11 p.m. on Dec. 4.The second entry occurred along Blue Mountain Road, in East Penn Township, Carbon County. A 43-year-old female reported her home forcibly entered and various items removed. The incident occurred sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.Troopers are investigating a theft incident at the Country Junction, located along SR209 in Lehighton, Towamensing Township.Troopers said Barbara Lewandowski, of Green Lane, Montgomery County, reported while at the store on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 2:30 p.m. her purse was stolen. The purse was later found in the trash at the Shell service station along SR209 in the township.Missing from the purse was $75 in cash, a Samsung cell phone, and a Sony cyber camera.Troopers said Nancy Poli, of Ross Township, Monroe County, and Rahul Arora, of Heightstown, N.J., reported someone took an Atlantic Highlands bank note. The note was taken sometime between Aug. 28 and Nov. 18.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
