Country Inn and Suites, Lehighton, held its ninth annual "Christmas in the Country," event to assist the Blue Ridge Food and Toy Drive, which provides toys and food for needy families in the local area. The event gave everyone an opportunity to donate food or toys, win a prize and enjoy complimentary cookies, punch and coffee. Proceeds of $820 raised at the event and food and toys donated by visitors benefitted the Blue Ridge Food and Toy Drive, coordinated by the Carbon Mountaineer Marine Corps League Detachment 996.
