A McAdoo woman has been cited for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.

Borough Patrolman Steven Homanko was on patrol Nov. 22, at 1:25 a.m. when he observed a green Chrysler Sebring speeding on South Kennedy Drive. As the officer followed the Sebring he observed it had no license plate lamp and a malfunctioning brake light. The vehicle pulled up to a gas pump at the Fegley Mini Mart and the officer approached the female driver, who stated she had lost her operator's license. She was identified as Angelia M. Seliga, 21, of 401 S. Kennedy Drive.Although Seliga repeatedly said she had not been drinking her speech was slurred and she kept stumbling as she tried to stay upright. She was given, and failed, three field sobriety tests. A portable breath test indicated a blood-alcohol level of .207 percent, more than twice the legal limit of .08. She refused to have a blood test.Seliga was cited for DUI of alcohol, driving with a suspended operator's license, failure to have properly working brake lights, and careless driving.
