Woman is charged after vehicle stop

A Hazleton woman has been cited by McAdoo police following a vehicle stop on Oct. 21.

Patrolman Steven Homanko was on patrol at 3 a.m. when his police cruiser was almost struck by a vehicle operated by Brittany Nicole Wolf, 22, of 212 S. Pine St.When questioned, Wolf admitted she had been drinking alcohol. A records check indicated her driver's license had been suspended. Wolf agreed to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.A portable breath test indicated she had a blood-alcohol content of .140, almost twice the legal limit of .08 percent. She was charged with driving under the influence (DUI of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, and failure to yield the right of way.
