CCTI Cosmetology shop is tops in food drive collection

Once again, in the spirit of giving, the Carbon Career and Technical Institute (CCTI) held its annual canned food drive shop competition.

Each year, the school sponsors a healthy competition among all of the technical shops to bring in as many cans of food as possible to help families in the Carbon County area. The shop that wins it is then treated to their own food frenzy as a reward. This year the school collected approximately 1,200 cans with the winning shop being Cosmetology, who broke their own goal of 1,000 cans by collecting a total of 1,043 cans in their shop alone.A school statement said "We are proud of all the students that participated and are pleased to help so many families in our area."
