Cupola comes down in Tamaqua

A well-known modern landmark along North Railroad Street was taken down recently by contractors doing remodeling work to the former Genetti's Market, which served as Rite Aid for many years. The property is owned by Tamstan Properties. Contractors said the cupola was in disrepair is not expected to be replaced. Contractors also stated the building will be occupied by a doctor and rehabilitation health care service, even though this hasn't been confirmed yet.
