The triangle at the entrance to Summit Hill, at Pine and Amidon Street, Route 902, is getting some major improvements.
The Summit Hill Lions Club has taken on the project of refurbishing the site, especially with the addition of a variety of new plants.Lions Club member Lou Vermillion said the triangle previously was maintained by the Summit Hill Historical Society. The Historical Society took charge of the project in 1998.The Lions agreed to take over the project and enlisted the assistance of Master Gardener John Kupec.Spearheading the project was Lions member Kathy Crampsie.Vermillion said among the plants being added are rose bushes, cypress, and various bulbs.
