A Barnesville man was one of 11 defendants who entered guilty pleas in Schuylkill County court to criminal charges and were sentenced by Judge John E. Miller.

Nicholas James Garulle, 22, of 1018 Barnesville Drive, pleaded to receiving stolen property removed from the garage of Eric Brassington, 76 Williams St., Barnesville, was placed on probation 23 months to run consecutive to sentence he is now serving which was imposed by Miller in June 2011, for receiving an all terrain vehicle (ATV) stolen in Mahanoy City. That sentence 88 days to 23 months.He was placed on parole after serving the 88 days but last April it was revoked for violating the rules and was back in prison. He was now released from prison to serve the combined probation sentences. On the current sentence he must pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund and make restitution of $60 to Eric Brassington.Kyle Lloyd Frantz, 22, Pottsville, delivery of a controlled substance in Minersville. placed on probation three years to run consecutive with a sentence imposed by President Judge William E. Baldwin in December 2010 to serve 24 months probation on a retail theft charge, which was revoked twice and he currently serving a sentence of nine to 23 months in the county prison.On the current charge he must pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to CJEA fund and perform 10 hours community service. Frantz was cited by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers.Devin David Drey, 22, Schuylkill Haven, entered a general plea to one count of delivery of a controlled substance, one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts each of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Sentence was deferred, however, Drey was committed to the Pennsylvania Department of Correction for an evaluation to be used by the court to determine whether he shall be placed in a state Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP). Drey was cited by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and Schuylkill Haven police.Christopher James Fox, 22, Schuylkill Haven, entered a general plea to three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.His sentence was deferred to a later date as the court ordered he be committed to a state correctional facility for an evaluation to be used by the court to determine his eligibility to be placed in the state's IPP. Fox was cited by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and Schuylkill Haven police who reported confiscating 32 baggies of heroin.Dennis Bachman, 24, Mahanoy City, three counts of burglary, sentenced to serve 12 to 24 months in a state correctional facility, pay $150 to the CJEA fund and court costs. He was cited by Mahanoy Township Officer Brandon Alexander, for burglaries in Morea Village.Warren Lewis James Frey, 23, Minersville, two counts of corruption of minors, sentenced to serve three to 12 months in the county prison, pay $100 to the CJEA fund, court costs, and have no contact with the victim. Frey was cited by Minersville Patrolman Richard C. Clink.Felix Luna, 23, Shenandoah, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance of two baggies of cocaine to a confidential informant (CI) was sentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison, fined $600, pay $100 to the SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and received credit for serving 174 days in the county prison. He was cited by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.On a charge of criminal mischief by damaging a window in the Pottsville police car was sentenced to serve 12 months on probation to run concurrent with the drug sentence and to make restitution of $519, and pay $50 to the CJEA fund. He was cited by Patrolman Joseph H. Murton Jr.Nicholas A. McCabe, 22, Shenandoah, delivery of a controlled substance- crack cocaine in Shenandoah to a CI, sentenced to serve one to two years in a state correctional facility, fined $300, pay $100 to SAE fund and $50 to CJEA fund. He was cited by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.On charges of resisting arrest and theft by unlawful taking filed by Mahanoy City Cpl. Michael Dissinger, was sentenced to serve three to 12 months in the county prison with the sentence to run concurrent to the drug sentence, pay fines totaling $500 and $50 to CJEA fund.Jonathan Montalvo, 33, Shenandoah, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, serve one to five years in the county prison, fined $2,500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, enroll and complete alcohol highway safety school, and driver's license suspended 12 months.On a summary charge of driving while his operating privileges were suspended was fined $500 plus $50 costs. Montalvo was cited by Shenandoah Patrolman Robert Senape.Randy Jarrett Ratliff, 41, Gilberton, criminal mischief by breaking a window and removing copper pipes from the Our Lady Silva Church, Gilberton, sentenced to serve one to 12 months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA fund, $739 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, and $1,000 for damages. Ratliff was cited by Trooper John Powis.He also pleaded guilty to theft of two cases of beer and was sentenced to serve one to 12 months in the county prison to run concurrent with the criminal mischief charge, pay $50 to CJEA fund and make restitution of $38.25 to Gold Star Beverage Company. Ratliff was cited by Shenandoah Patrolman Kirk Kirkland, as the theft occurred off a beer truck parked by Hard Hat Bar.Michael Erik Sleva, 30, Pottsville, possession of drug paraphernalia in Port Carbon, was given credit for spending one day in the county prison and placed on parole for 12 months, and pay $50 to CJEA fund. He was cited by Port Carbon Chief Jon J. Bowman.Sleva also entered a plea of nolo contendre (no defense) to a charge of retail theft from Walmart Store in Saint Clair and was given credit for serving 33 days in the county prison and released on parole for 23 months to run concurrent with the drug sentence and pay $50 to CJEA fund. He was cited by Patrolman Martin H. Sterner.Each defendant sentenced must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
