Two area residents among 18 to enter guilty pleas

Two area residents were among 18 who entered guilty pleas and two others entering no defense to the criminal charges filed against them and were sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller in Schuylkill County court.

Dennis Ray Yeater, 25, of 307 Race St., Tamaqua, possession of drug paraphernalia, was placed on probation 12 months, and ordered to pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, and perform 20 hours of community service. On a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was a given a 30 days concurrent sentence. Yeater was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Houser.Marcia Lee Messinger, 45, of 217 Hope Drive, New Ringgold, was sentenced on six counts of access device fraud for taking gift cards belonging to Andreas EZ Market, 2083 West Penn Pike, while an employee, to serve 23 months on probation, pay $50 to the CJEA fund, and restitution of $520.68 to the market. Messinger was cited by West Penn Chief Brian J. Johnson. On one count of retail theft she received a concurrent 23 months probation sentence.Brian McDonald, 28, Mahanoy City, theft of three cashier checks, was placed on probation 23 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours of community service, and make restitution of $1,360 to the Ashland Little League. McDonald was cited by Ashland Chief Adam Bernodin.Michael William Moore, 37, Saint Clair, resisting arrest, sentenced to serve 23 months on probation, pay $50 to CJEA fined, and perform 20 hours community service. On a charge of striking a parked vehicle at 451 S. Nicholas St., Saint Clair, and failing to stop was fined $300 and make restitution of $500 to Francisco Ortiz. Moore was cited by Patrolman Chad H. Seitzinger.Joshua Adam Mullins, 20, Pottsville, on a charge of theft of scrap iron from the property of Reading Anthracite Company property along Darkwater Road in New Castle Township, was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 20 hours of community service. Bowers.Kayla Lynn Reinhart, 21, Pottsville, theft of credit card, was given credit for serving two days in the county prison and was released on parole for 18 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $270 to Nicole Krusonski, Minersville, the victim. Reinhart was cited by Patrolman Jeffrey R. Bowers. She previously was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) probation program, but it was revoked by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine for violating the rules.James Brian Roche, 48, Ashland, possession of a controlled substance, was given credit for serving 35 days in the county prison and released on 12 months probation, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours of community service.
