Two area residents were among 18 who entered guilty pleas and two others entering no defense to the criminal charges filed against them and were sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller in Schuylkill County court.

Dennis Ray Yeater, 25, of 307 Race St., Tamaqua, possession of drug paraphernalia, was placed on probation 12 months, and ordered to pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, and perform 20 hours of community service. On a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was a given a 30 days concurrent sentence. On one count of retail theft she received a concurrent 23 months probation sentence.Brian McDonald, 28, Mahanoy City, theft of three cashier checks, was placed on probation 23 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours of community service, and make restitution of $1,360 to the Ashland Little League.
