Reinhard part of 2012 Moravian HOF class

Tony Jaso (Bethlehem); Tara Wartman McClimon (Douglassville); Heidi Wolfsberger Peoples (Scranton) and Fred Reinhard (Palmerton) made up the class of 2012 that was inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Nov. 9, in Johnston Hall.

Also being honored was Bill Marsh (Carolina Shores, NC, who was presented with the Robert Martin Herbstman Award), and the 1989 men's track team.Fred ReinhartReinhard, who served as a longtime member of the Moravian College Board of Trustees, has been a major contributor and consistent supporter of the Greyhound Athletic program for years.He is a regular at Moravian contests, and he has positively affected the athletic experience of scores of Moravian student-athletes. In 2011, he was elected as a Life Trustee member of the Moravian College Board of Trustees.Reinhard is the President and Chairman of Pencor Services, which is made up of 17 communication companies, including the Lehigh Valley Press newspapers, as well as other companies like PenTeleData, Blue Ridge Cable, Palmerton Telephone and the Times News newspaper.In addition to supporting athletics, he has been a generous friend to the science department, the Hurd Academic Complex, the music department, among other programs. He's also known as the man behind the company who brought the Moravian College Christmas Vespers to more than 10 million viewers over the Pennsylvania Cable Network.Other gifts have gone toward game-day field furnishings such as bleachers, barricades, shelters, storage sheds, towers, fencing, field maintenance equipment, new ticket booths at Steel Field, a washer/ extractor for the equipment room, the sports medicine department, and sponsored a "mental toughness" speaker.Every varsity team has received direct gifts to enhance their individual programs. The spirit groups - the cheerleaders and mascot program - have been made safer and more visible through his donations.Assistance in completing the Blue & Grey Pavilion at Steel Field gives the Blue & Grey Club a permanent home and a special place for parents, alumni, and friends to gather. Gifts toward the Breidegam Fieldhouse lobby, the construction of the new state-of-the-art fitness center, digital signage and graphic athletics imagery throughout the facilities not only reinforce that intangible called "Greyhound Pride" and makes the college a better place to be and also a better place for recruits to want to be.Reinhard is the dad of two Moravian alums - daughter Joanie, a 1986 grad, and son Jeff, who graduated in 1990. Reinhard resides in Palmerton with his wife Rosalie.Remainder of ClassJaso, a 1950 Moravian graduate, was a three-year standout on the football squad.McClimon, who graduated from Moravian in 1998, was a four-year member of the womens cross country and womens track teams.Peoples, who graduated in 2002, was also a four-year standout on both the womens cross country and womens track teams, and she was Moravian's Outstanding Senior Athlete in 2002.Marsh, a 1956 graduate, was a four-year letter winner on the Moravian football team. Marsh was a quarterback for the Greyhounds and served as a team captain as a senior.The 1989 men's track team won both the Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships while finishing ninth at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.
