Two persons were injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, along SR1008 (Morea Road), near Eleanor Ave., in West Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Joshua Mooney, 24, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 1999 Ford Econoline van eastbound when he lost control. The van crossed over the westbound lane and onto the north berm.The van then struck a concrete drainage basin and rolled over onto the two lanes of travel. It then slid about 100-yards before coming to final rest in the westbound lane on its passenger side.Mooney and his passenger, Robert Reeves, 31, also of Mahanoy City, were injured, troopers said, but the accident report did not indicate if they required medical attention. Both men were not wearing seat belts, troopers noted.The van had to be towed from the scene.
