Adult Day Care

The Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care Center is seeking volunteers to serve on its board of directors.The center has a variety of activities planned for November, including celebrating Thanksgiving on Nov. 14.Other activities for the month will include: Nov. 5, bulletin board and bingo; Nov. 7, craft day, constructing placemats; Nov. 8, cooking class, Grandma's Baked Apples; Nov. 9, cornucopia contest; Nov. 15 and 19, visits from child development participants; Nov. 19, craft day; Nov. 26, trip to Dollar Store; Nov. 30, visit from St. Jerome's kindergarten class.In addition to weekly sing-alongs, exercise sessions, a variety of therapies and social games, the center provides for hairstyling and manicure service.Both require advance notice. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are served daily.
