October 29, 1971 Bill Milot completes 9-of-17 passes for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns to help Tamaqua gain a 33-6 win over Shenandoah Valley. Both of Milot's scoring tosses, one a 66-yarder and the other from seven yards out, go to Mark Truskey. The Blue Raiders, coached by Walt Ligenza, also receive a 12-yard TD run from Brad Geiger and one-yard scoring plunges from Harry Krapf and Jan Vinsko. Matt Welsh leads Tamaqua's defense with 17 tackles.
