A lone beachcomber uses a metal detector to explore beaches at Tuscarora State Park on Sunday after the 65-ft.-deep lake was lowered six feet to reclaim eroded sand. Park officials indicated that the partially-open water release valve that was used to lower the dam will now be turned fully closed to allow for flood control in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy's dangerous four-day rainfall expected to begin today.
