DUI arrests reported in Monroe

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on three driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers.

On Oct. 20 about 2:40 a.m. police on patrol along SR940 observed a vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. A vehicle stop was made and the driver identified as Julius Kollar, 45, of Swiftwater.He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the county prison where a blood sample was taken for testing. The charge is pending the test results.At 2:18 a.m. on Oct. 21 police were dispatched to a residence along Kuhenbeaker Drive in Tunkhannock Township for a suspicious vehicle. On scene officers found Leocadio R. Cojon, 29, of Tobyhanna, standing in the driveway of the residence alongside his pickup truck.Cojon told officers he was coming home from a bar and his truck broke down so he pulled into the driveway. Cojon was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and taken to the county prison where a blood sample was secured for testing. The DUI charge is pending the test results.Also on Oct. 21, about 2:30 a.m. police responded to Country Place and Linden drives in A Pocono Country Place, where security had made a traffic stop.The driver was identified as Jason Lamar Coleman, 32, of Tobyhanna. He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest. He was taken to the county DUI center where he submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
