Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tamaqua is hosting a youth protection workshop Sunday, Nov. 4 from 2-4 p.m.

The program is open to all area volunteers who work with children.Such training is often required by church and organization policies and insurance carriers.Melissa B. Haydt, consultation services coordinator for Family Life Services and Diakon, will lead the session.To register, call (570) 668-2180. There is a small fee to cover the cost of the program.The church is located at the corner of Mauch Chunk and Greenwood streets in Tamaqua.
