To celebrate Halloween and this ghostly time of year, members of the Blue Mountain Paranormal Society (BMPS) will give a special presentation at the Black Diamond Writers' Network meeting on Saturday.

Get a glimpse into another world and learn how ghost investigators identify, locate and investigate sightings or cases of ghosts, spirits and forces beyond what the eye can see.Society members will explain the characteristics of a ghostly presence, what you can do if you think such a force exists in your midst and when you may need to call on a professional.The Blue Mountain Paranormal Society (BMPS) is a team of investigators led by members whose experience ranges from 5 to 30 years researching and documenting the unknown in our world.Based in the Lehighton area, BMPS has been showcased on Ghost Detectives, Blue Ridge TV 13, the Times News and several other venues for its work in gathering evidence and documenting encounters with ghosts and the unknown.Over the past five years, BMPS has successfully completed over 100 cases and traveled as far as New York and Maryland to help others understand both the material and spiritual worlds a bit better.The presentation will take place Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St., Tamaqua.
