Care Net of Carbon County will host its 11th Annual Fundraising Banquet benefiting Care Net services on Friday, Oct. 19, at Blue Mountain Community Church, 25 Oak St., Palmerton.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for hors d'oeuvres and bidding on silent auction items. The dinner and program begin at 7 p.m.Reservations are required by contacting (610) 379-0411.Community members are welcome to attend.Care Net of Carbon County offers many different educational programs, providing accurate information on pregnancy, fetal development, the options associated with pregnancy, single parenting, the effects of adoption or abortion, life skills and relationship issues.The organization also offers some tangible assistance, such as free pregnancy tests, maternity and baby clothing, baby furniture, diapers and formula.
