St. Jerome's Regional Catholic Youth Organization is currently accepting registrations for the winter sports program, which includes basketball and cheerleading. The program will be held Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m., in the Tamaqua Area School District Auditorium. Designed to benefit parents and teen students, the presentation features "the story of a young man whose dependence on prescription drugs led him down an unexpected path of destruction."The public is welcome to attend. There is no admission fee.
