No injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash that occurred about 4:35 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, along Hillside Drive at State Road, in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County, in which one driver fell asleep at the wheel.

State police at Frackville said Jared Shiko, 29, of Coal Township, Northumberland County, was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta southbound and approaching the intersection with State Road while John Gutsie, 48, of Barnesville, driving a 2012 Toyota Tundra truck, was turning onto Hillside from State.Troopers said Shiko fell asleep and ran directly into the front of the Tundra with front of his vehicle.Damages were termed heavy to the front of the Jetta and minor to the front of the Trunda.
