The Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care Center has a variety of activities planned for October, including a visit from the St. Jerome's kindergarten class and a Halloween party on Oct. 31Other activities for the month will include: Oct. 3, bingo and pumpkin painting; Oct. 4, celebration of National Cooking/Baking Day; Oct. 10, cooking class; Oct. 15, birthday party; Oct. 16, trip to Boscov's; Oct. 17, Salvation Army service; Oct. 22, sing-a-long with Audrey Christ; Oct. 24, pizza party; and Oct. 25, crafting Mummy jars.In addition to weekly sing-alongs, exercise sessions, a variety of therapies and social games, the center provides for hairstyling and manicure service.Both require advance notice. Broad St., will sponsor a "Blessing of Animals" event on Oct. 7.
