A Carbon County driver was the victim of a hit and run accident in Lehigh County. State police at Fogelsville said the incident occurred about 5:25 p.m. on Sept. 27 along Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township.

Troopers said Jacob M. Peake, 24, of Lansford, was driving a 2012 Ford Focus eastbound in the left lane when his vehicle was struck on the right rear side by a motorcycle.After impact the other driver fled the scene last seen exiting I78 and going south on SR100. The hit and run vehicle was described as being a red crotch rocket style motorcycle.Peake and passengers Robin E. Peake, 53, and Suzy Paulus, 24, both of Lansford, were all not injured.
