For fans of pop music, October brings them a treat at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

This coming Friday night, Oct. 5, Peter Noone will be with Herman's Hermits for a concert at 8 p.m.Herman's Hermits, as anyone with just a basic knowledge of 60s music knows, had such hits as "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter," "Kind of a Hush," and "Henry the Eighth."On Friday, Oct. 26, Paul Revere and the Raiders make an appearance on Carbon County largest stage.They're best known for the hits "Louie, Louie," "Indian Reservation," and "Him Or Me, What's It Gonna Be."Meanwhile, on another concert note, the show by Tanya Tucker that was scheduled for October 14 at the Peak has been postponed until next May 4 because of an unforeseen medical problem that occurred.Penn's Peak will honor all tickets already purchased for the October 14 show at the May 4 concert.Two other concert dates already have been set at the venue for 2013.The Pink Floyd Experience will be here on Feb. 15.The legendary Bobby Vinton is making a return on March 23. Vinton's hits include "Roses are Red" and "Blue on Blue."Peter Noone is back at Penn's Peak by popular demand.All in all, Herman's Hermits sold over 80 million recordings of which 14 singles and seven albums went gold and there were 20 Top 20 hits in there as well.At the age of 15, Noone became the lead singer, spokesman, and frontman of Herman's Hermits.Over the years, he was everywhere; magazine covers, top rated TV shows, Broadway, feature films, a TV show host and even on the soap opera As The World Turns.Growing up in Manchester, England, Noone found himself a National and International star on all levels. All this publicity contributed to Herman's Hermits twice being named Cashbox's "Entertainer of The Year."He has created two Web sites that have become so popular the New York Times call him the "King of The Sixties on The Internet."Noone himself has a legion of fanatic followers dubbed the "Noonatics."Other hits by Herman's Hermits include "I'm Into Something Good," "Listen, People" and "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat."Paul Revere and The Raiders started in Idaho in 1958 by Paul Revere himself.He found he had a knack for assembling talented personalities; a knack that has kept members like Doug Heath and Ron Foos around for over 25 years.The Raiders are full of spontaneity; you never know what they may do.Over the years, Paul Revere and The Raiders have had quite a few accomplishments. They were the first group to sign with Columbia Records. They signed in 1963 with their hit "Louie Louie." They appeared on 520 episodes of The Dick Clark production "Where The Action Is" on ABC and they co-hosted "Happening" also a Dick Clark produced television show on ABC.In 1971, Paul Revere wanted to get their song "Indian Reservation" out there so he crisscrossed the United States three times on his motorcycle stopping at radio stations along the way for promotion.
