24 area residents among 99 arraigned by DA

Twenty-four area residents were among 99 defendants who were arraigned Monday in the Schuylkill County Courthouse before District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon on criminal charges and all entered pleas of not guilty and requested trial by jury. They were:

Anthony R. Ades, 55, of 20 Cedar St., Tamaqua, charged by West Penn Township Chief Brian J. Johnson, with aggravated assault of police officer, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering Debra L. Althouse at 600 West Penn Pike, institutional vandalism, and exceeding the maximum speed limit last July 11.Tyler Joseph Kline, 20, of 410 Washington St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia last June 5 at his home after police called to investigate a fight between the defendant and and his father.Michael Allen Haring, of 266 Hillside Drive, Barnesville, charged by Mahanoy Township Police Officer Brandon Alexander, with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and underage drinking when stopped in Boston Run last June 26.Andrea L. Hobbs, last June 9 with burglary of his grandmother's apartment at the High Rise Building and theft of $4,260 worth of jewelry.Alysa Christine Frey, 22, of 15 S. Tamaqua Drive, Tamaqua R.D., charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Joseph F. Krebs, with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, possessing an open container of alcohol beverage in vehicle, careless driving, and involved in accident of unattended vehicle on Spruce Street last June 16.Robert Maurice Valentine, 44, of 41 Rocky Lane, New Ringgold, charged by West Penn police with defiant trespass on property of West Penn Rod and Gun Club, last April 13. The police report states he was found sleeping in a recreational vehicle parked on the grounds.Anthony Edward Pascoe, 26, of 230 Green St., Apt. 2, and 112 N. Greenwood St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew N. Houser, with resisting arrest, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct on North Greenwood Street last June 18.Gary Leland Scott Jr., 26, of 605 E. Henry Woods, with theft of his mother's vehicle last June 13, fleeing police, unauthorized use of vehicle, simple assault, recklessly endangering pedestrians, reckless driving, failing to drive at a safe speed, driver required to have license, stop sign violations, and driving the wrongway on a one way road. The police report states he was found sleeping in his mother's car and when confronted took off and police gave chase through the borough but discontinued pursuing on Anthracite Avenue, in fear of safety of others.Richard Edward Michlousky, 50, of 261 W. The police report states he claimed he was a veterans of the Iraq war to gain medication from Family Medical Center.James Francis Killian, 25, Mahanoy City, charged by Mahanoy City Officer Robert Romanick, with two counts of hindering the apprehension of person being sought on a bench warrant (Ryan F. Gallo), and obstructing administration by law officials. The police report states the wanted person was found hiding in a dresser in the bedroom.Richard M. Bonney, 33, Hazle Township, Luzerne County, charged by Rush Patrolman Bradley Hess, with retail theft from Walmart Store, Hometown, last July 29, fleeing police, driving while license suspended, failing to drive at a safe speed, and improper display of registration plate.Karen Marie Heon, 49, Hazleton, charged by McAdoo Patrolman Robert E. Minnick, last Jan. 9 for possession of a CS and drug paraphernalia on S. Hancock and W Sherman streets.Juan Ricardo Cooke II, 32, Harrisburg, charged by Trooper John Sleboda with robbery of Miners Bank in Tremont last April 23, criminal conspiracy, terroristic threat of tellers, and theft of a large sum of money.
