Woman charged in Monroe incident

A Monroe County woman was charged following an incident that occurred at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 25, about 9:30 a.m.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers went to the residence of Marisol Delarosa, 45, of Emerald Lakes development in Long Pond, to serve a warrant on her issued to Scranton police. Delarosa met police at the door and was informed about the arrest warrant and she was advised that she was under arrest.Delarosa told police she was not going anywhere until she took a bath and attempted to close the door on the officers.When police attempted to place her under arrest, Delarosa fought with the officers. Delarosa was taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest. She was arraigned before a district judge and placed in the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $10,000 bail.
