A 5K Walk the Walk Fun Run and Walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport.

The event is being organized by Country Inn and Suites to raise funds for Walk the World for Childhood Foundation.Contact Country Inn and Suites by Sept. 28 at (610) 377-5066 or in person at 1619 Interchange Road, Lehighton or register at the walk site on the day of the event.Funds raised are used to assist children at risk in the United States and foreign countries, in the areas of child abuse.
