Make-A-Wish promotional event includes Wal-marts

Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia is encouraging consumers to go to their local Wal-mart starting this Saturday to show their support for Make-A-Wish by taking part in a brief demonstration of a Straight Talk Wireless Android smart phone.

For every shopper who participates, Straight Talk Wireless will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, with the ultimate goal of raising $1,000,000.Carried out under the banner "One Minute One Million," the Straight Talk Wireless/Make-A-Wish initiative will take place from 10 to 4 p.m. over four consecutive Saturdays starting Sept. 22 at 106 participating Wal-marts across the Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia region. The funds contributed by Straight Talk Wireless will help grant wishes in communities in that region and across the country.Both the Tamaqua and Lehighton Wal-Mart stores are participating."We encourage local residents to take the time to support us through this important campaign," said Judith Stone, president and CEO, Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia.
