Ashley Kmetz of Hauto Estates, Nesquehoning, graduated May 24 from Luzerne County Community College with an associate degree of applied science in dental hygiene.

She was a member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Phi Alpha, and graduated second in her class.Ashley also received the professionalism award in dental hygiene.In 2010 Ashley graduated in the dental assisting program and was awarded a certificate of specialization and the Academic Award of Achievement in dental assisting. She graduated magna cum laude in 2010 and 2012, and was on the dean's list and president's list all three years.Ashley recently accepted a position as a dental hygienist at Smile Krafters in Allentown.Ashley is a 2007 graduate of Panther Valley High School. She is the daughter of Rosalie Kmetz of Hauto Estates and Scott Kmetz of Coopersburg, and the granddaughter of Helen Pallavicini of Lansford and the late Alfred Pallavicini.
