Garden program

Penn State Extension's Master Gardener program will provide local gardeners with information on the best way to prepare garden beds for the winter. The session will be held Sept. 27, at 1 p.m., at the Orwigsburg Free Public Library, 214 E. Independence St., Orwigsburg. www.tamaqua.net.Memorial fundA memorial fund has been established in the name of former Tamaqua resident Kimberly Mateyak Griffith, who tragically drowned last August in Pittsburgh, along with her daughters Brenna and Mikaela. The fund will be used to remodel an exam room at the Presbyterian Medical Clinic in Belize, where Kim served as a dental assistant on one of her mission trips to Belize.Donations may be made to MTW, P.O.
