The Jim Thorpe Lions Club has received many donations to support the ongoing replacement of American flags around the borough. Donations are still being accepted to help fund the project and ensure the purchase of new flags and the proper replacement of old flags. Organ dedicationSt. Paul's Lutheran Church, Old Stage Road, Albrightsville will dedicate its new organ on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m. Special music will be provided by Randall Perry. The community is invited to attend the ceremony and enjoy a light luncheon following the program.Outdoor serviceSt. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church will hold an outdoor service, open to the community, on Sunday, Sept. 9, at Mauch Chunk Lake.The service will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held rain or shine.
