State police at Lehighton are investigating an incident where a vehicle was set on fire.

Troopers said the incident occurred at a rear parking lot of the former Jonas Hotel, in Polk Township, Monroe County. A 1995 Ford Windstar, parked at that location, was found on fire about 1:20 a.m. last Thursday. The vehicle sustained heavy damages.A state police fire marshal is investigating the arson. Polk Township Fire Company volunteers responded and extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
