Carbon County coroner Bruce Nalesnik has confirmed a body, assumed to be male, was found in Penn Forest Township, Sunday afternoon. Nalesnik states the body was found by a hiker. Nalesnik said he believes the body was exposed for a period of at least six weeks. The investigation is being led by troopers of the Lehighton barracks. The site is somewhere between Drakes Creek Road and the Lehigh River, approximately two miles from either.
