State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary and an attempted burglary, both occurring in the New Ringgold area.

Troopers said the home of Wayne Renninger Jr., located at 943 Pine Valley Rd., New Ringgold, East Brunswick Township, was entered sometime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15. Entry was gained by removing a mounted air conditioner from the east side of the home. During the removal the window was broken and the air conditioner was damaged.Once inside the criminals removed a Vizio 47-inch flat screen television, black in color, valued at $1,200; a Samsung intensity II cellular telephone, blue in color, valued at $200; and a computer monitor, flat screen type, valued at $150.The attempted break-in occurred at the residence of William Ditzler, 1651 Chestnut St., McKeansburg, East Brunswick Township. As in the first incident, the criminals attempted to remove an air conditioner from a window on the south side. During the act the window was broken and the conditioner was damaged.However, the criminals fled the scene without gaining entry. The incident occurred sometime between noon and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 874-5300.
