Franklin Township Lions Club will host the Franklin Lions Picnic in the Park from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Phifer Ice Dam Park.

The day will include bingo and a cake walk. The Mudflaps will perform from 4 to 6 p.m.Everyone is invited to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the picnic in the park and have a time of camaraderie with friends and neighbors.Franklin Township residents who are seniors (over 65 years old), can register for free food and door prizes at Forest Inn Masonry, Forest Inn. Free meals will be served to seniors who are preregistered from noon to 2 p.m. Food will also be available throughout the day. Senior citizen must be present at 5 p.m. to win prizes.This event is in place of the Franklin Township Senior Day activities.For additional information call (610) 377-5593.
