Four area men among 13 to enter guilty pleas

Four area men were among 13 who entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court and were sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin as follows:

Jeffrey Allen Kucirka, 32, 31 Mantzville Road, Andreas, West Penn Township, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, serve 90 days to five years in the county prison, fined $1,500, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, $60 to Saint Luke's Hospital, enroll in alcohol highway safe driving school, undergo intensive outpatient treatment, driver's license suspended 18 months, and for 12 months must drive with an ignitiion interlock on his vehicle.On summary charges of driving while his license is suspended was fined $200; and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic fined $25 plus $100 in costs. Kucirka was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse.Geoffrey Aaron Yesavage, 21, of 577 Blue Mountain Drive, Andreas, West Penn Township, DUI, spend 48 hours to six months in the county prison with credit for serving three days and was granted parole, fined $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, complete safety school, receive outpatient treatment, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 12 months.Paul Zuzo, 42, of 102 E. White Bear Drive, Summit Hill, DUI, spend 4 1/2 months to five years in the county prison, begining Tuesday, July 31, at a 10 a.m., fined $1,5000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA fund, attend safety school, receive outpatient treatment, perform 30 hours community service, and license suspended 18 months.On summary charges, driving while operating privileges suspended-DUI related, serve a concurrent 90 to 180 days prison sentence; failure to have proper license clasification for motorcycle, fined $25; failing to have valid inspection certificate, fined $25; failing to wear head gear, fined $25; and careless driving, fined $25 plus $250. Zuzo was cited by Rush Patrolman Peter Wysochansky, on July 31, 2011, on Tuscarora Park Road.Mychal Beltrami, 27, with addresses of Tamaqua and Hazleton, on a charge of DUI was sentenced to serve 72 hous to six months in the county prison. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was senentenced to serve 12 months probation at the conclusion of the DUI sentence. He also was fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $150 to CJEA fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $226 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, complete safety school, receive outpatient treatment, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 12 months.On summary charges of driving while operating privileges were suspended, fined $200; careless driving, $25; disorderly conduct, $25; on restrictions on alcohol, $25; and public drunkenness, $25 plus $150 in costs. He was cited by Tamaqua police.Richard Daniel Cannavacciuolo, 42, Beaver Brook Road, Hazle Township, delivery of a controlled substance along the Burma Road in East Norwegian Township on June 20, 2011, sentenced to serve nine to 23 months in the county prison. On a charge of posssession of drug paraphernalia to serve 12 months on probation consecutive to the first sentence, fined $250, pay $50 to CJEA fund, $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, and $100 to Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.Tricia E. Devine, 23, Pine Grove, delivery of a controlled substance in Valley View, Hegins Township, on May 17, 2011, placed in Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) for 12 months with first four months under house arrest with electronic monitoring and pay required fee of $12 per day, followed by eight months probation, fined $200, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, and $80 to Schuykill County Drug Task Force.Matthew John Dudash, 24, Pottsville, simple assault on Ashley Dudash, 2501 West End Avenue, and possession of a controlled substance in the 600 block on North Centre Street, placed on probation 23 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $100 to CJEA. On a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $150. He was cited by Pottsville police.Nicole Marie Finken, 32, Pottsville, DUI, placed on probation six months, fined $300, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend safety school, and perform 10 hours community service.On summary charges of driving while her operating privileges were suspended was fined $200; and failing to turn on headlights during required period was fined $25 plus $100 in costs. Finken was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Eugene Matthew Yourey, last Sept. 25.Lorie Lee Kauffman, 23, Pottsville, DUI, serve a 30 days in county prison beginning Monday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m., followed by four years and 11 months on probation in the IPP, fined $1,500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, receive outpatient treatment, and license suspended 18 months.On a summary charge of failing to drive on right side of roadway was fined $25 plus costs. Kauffman was cited by Pottsville Cpl. Corporal Mark D. O'Toole, on June 3, 2011.Charles L. Keffer, 49, Auburn, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, placed in the IPP to serve 23 months on probation, fined $300, pay $200 to SAE fund, $200 to Catastrophe fund, $226 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, and $310 to Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.Larry J. Klinger, 49, Orwigsburg, operating a vehicle without insurance coverage, fined $300 and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Klinger was cited by Orwigsburg Patrolman Scott R. Davis, on July 20, 2011.Neal Michael Moyer, 36, Pottsville, paid rent with a bad check, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $725 Michael Fritz, owner of property at 614 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. He was cited by Patrolman Kirk A. Becker, on April 15, 2011.Tracey Ann Mozdy, 40, Shenandoah, DUI, spend 72 hours to six months in county prison, fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete safety school, receive outpatient treatment, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 12 months. Mozdy was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Grant F. Yoder, last Oct. 11.Adam David Wilhelm, 23, Pine Grove, criminal conspiracy and theft from a motor vehicle in Pottsville was placed on probation for 18 months and for failing a screen test for drugs must serve an additional 12 months on probation, pay $100 to the CJEA fund, and make restitution of $2,700 to Lori Smith, $55 to Lisa Konkus, and $80 to Billie Jo Schuettler, whose vehicles were entered.Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
