Carbon County Commissioner Thomas J. Gerhard, center, was sworn in as a member of the County Records Committee recently by Judge Steven Serfass, left. Gerhard received word from Gov. Tom Corbett's office appointing him to the committee as of July 16. The County Records Committee examines and inventories county records for the preparation of schedules; and enforces schedules and procedures involving county records. Gerhard will serve a four-year term. Holding the Bible during the swearing in is Rayonna Fedor, the secretary of Judge Serfass' office.
