Star light, star bright, the stars shining at the Palmerton Area Library are quite a sight. This year's summer reading program's theme was "Dream Big Read!" To encourage everyone to read, the library is sponsoring a reading contest for children and adults, with three prizes to be awarded per age category. For every book read, the registered reader puts his/her name on a star and it is added to a star chain. Participants, left to right, Elizabeth Sterner, 7, James DeVore, 11, Raymond Heimbach, 8 and Egan Bellesfield, 10, admire the chain that now stretches throughout the library, working on its third time around.
