This past Spring, residents and students of Jim Thorpe kicked off Project 365.

This project focuses on an area in the community that people would like to improve. Volunteers working on the project have been working to improve Kemmerer Park in Jim Thorpe. Students from St. Joseph's Regional Academy are leading Project 365.This past spring the 8th grade class began the project and the upcoming 8th grade class in the fall will continue the project. Project 365 will be an ongoing project. St. Joseph's Regional Academy. First Grade Teacher and Student Council Adviser, Amanda Salovay, is working with the students on this project. Project 365 is associated with National Night Out (NNO) which will be hosted in Jim Thorpe on August 7th at Memorial Park from 6pm-10pm.NNO is an event to bring awareness of crime and drug prevention and strengthen relationships between the community and law enforcement. NNO works in correlation with the JT Police Department and JT Community Watch. Many communities all over the country have NNO events.
