A Tamaqua native has been named by Pope Paul to the Sacred Rota, the Vatican's court announced. Most Rev. Thomas M. Mundy, 53, of the Philadelphia Archdiocese, is a professor at St. Charles Boromeo Seminary, Overbrook. He also has served as a judge on the Metropolitan Tribunal, the church court in Philadelphia. Last month he was named a consultor to the Pontifical Commission for the Revision of Canon Law at the Vatican.
