Lansford Borough Council approved a suggestion to have the East End athletic field converted into a playground for children, with tennis, handball, and softball layouts contemplated. At present, the expansive piece of land is well graded and its terraces are equipped with a neat rock construction. It is believed work could be done on the project by the National Youth Administration with little or no cost to the borough.
