The driver of this van was injured Monday morning after failing to negotiate a curve in Towamensing Township and impacting with a tree. The crash occurred just after 9 a.m. when the male was traveling south on Deer Lane around a sweeping curve. The van he was operating left the right berm traveled through the weeds before striking the tree. The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics then transported to an area hospital. The scene of the crash was about a half mile north of Pohopoco Drive near Beltzville Lake. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
