John M. Burns, 38, of 2629 Bridgets Way, Allentown, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program, which is a program reserved for first offenders who committed a non-violent crime to allow them to clear their name.Burns was placed in the program for 90 days by Judge Charles M. Miller to serve 90 days and ordered to pay to Schuylkill County $300 to defray cost of the program, $50 the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account fund, and a $50 monthly supervision fee. He was charged by New Castle Township police with retail theft of four X-box games from Sears Store in the Schuylkill Mall.Revoke probationChristine Cathleen Ritter, 25, of 12 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, had her probation revoked by Judge Charles M. Miler who immediately re-sentenced her on a charge of corruption of a minor to serve four to eight months in the county prison followed by 16 months of strict probation with credit for serving 76 days in the county jail. On a charge of theft she received a sentence of four to 12 months to run concurrent with the first sentence. Ritter had entered a guilty plea to the charges on Nov. 24, 2010, and was placed on probation.Seek foreclosureBank of America, Simi Valley, Calif., filed suit against Keith McFarland and Jennifer Reiter seeking a foreclosure on a property at 212 N. Greenwood St., Tamaqua, for default on payments. They were married Oct. 31, 2007.Pleas guiltyElmer Jason Steinbrunn, 50, Schuylkill Haven, entered a general plea to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller to serve 12 months on probation, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, a $50 fee to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, must undergo drug and alcohol evaluation, and pay a $50 monthly supervision fee. Steinbrunn was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner, last Oct. 8.Christopher Michael Russell, 34, Schuylkill Haven, entered a general plea to stealing a purse and was placed on probation for 23 months by Judge Miller, pay $50 to CJEA fund and a $50 monthly supervision fee. Russell was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Warren G. Firing, who charged the purse belonged to Amanda Trinkle.Violate probationsEarl Hartranft, 33, of 336 Lincoln St., Tamaqua, had his parole revoked by Judge Jacqueline Russell and he was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence and his 509 days of liberty disallowed.He hand entered a guilty plea on Jan. 19, 2011, to a charge of theft from a motor vehicle and was released on probation after serving 22 days in prison. He also entered a guilty plea to a second charge of theft from a vehicle on Jan. 1, 2011, and was released on probation after serving 93 days in prison. He was cited by Tamaqua police and state police.Heath Michael Livergood Jr., 20, Frackville, was found by Judge Miller to violated the terms and conditions of his probation and was re-sentenced on a charge of corruption of a minor to serve not less than time served to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 203 days but will not be released from prison until he submits an application for parole and completes a parole home plan.He had pleaded guilty to the charge on Feb. 16, 2011, and was placed on probation. He had been cited by Frackville Patrolman George Parnell.Ryan Scott Winkler, 33, Schuylkill Haven, had his probation and parole revoked by Judge Miller and was recommitted to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence with 139 days of liberty disallowed and the maximum date of his release extended to Feb. 21, 2013.He had pleaded guilty on May 27, 2010, to a charge of criminal trespass and committing criminal mischief to a garage owned by Gary Bair, Schuylkill Haven. He was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David George.In contemptJoseph E. Sedtlock, of 51 Crescent St., Tamaqua R.D., was found guilty of indirect criminal attempt of a court order by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine and was sentenced to pay a fine of $300 and court costs. He was accused of violating a protection from abuse order obtained by his wife Barbara Ann Setlock.
