Looking for a little excitement and adventure?

The lazy, hazy days of summer are a great time to head to your local library and check out a little summer reading.The librarians at Dimmick Memorial Library have recommended several books that students in first through 12th grade might enjoy.The grade levels and recommended books include:First to third grade: Ivy & Bean Book 1 by Ann Barrows; The Little House by Virgina Lee Burton; and Diary of a Whimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.Fourth to seventh grade: Little House In The Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder; The Year of the Book by Andra Cheng; and Warriors: Into the Wild by Erin Hunter.Eighth to 12th grade: Divergent by Veronica Roth; Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson; and Swim to Fly by Don Calame.The Dimmick Memorial Library is located at 54 Broadway in Jim Thorpe.
